Fundraising

As a registered charity we rely on voluntary income to help us deliver and keep developing our specialised services for families whose lives are affected by separation and divorce.

Fundraising therefore is a necessary part of our work, enabling us to meet the needs of families who are struggling to cope with the emotional, financial and practical aspects of their family's breakdown.

Fundraised income is used to fund core services and allows us to keep on developing our services in line with local need so families across Tees Valley can be assured of relevant and high quality services at all times.

With more than 40% of marriages now ending in divorce, and with 1 in 4 children experiencing parental separation and divorce by the age of 16, it is no wonder many people are seeking help. 1 in 4 children live in single parent families and 1 in 10 live in a step-family which can often feature relationship problems with the absent parent or the extended family.

We know from our close work with parents, children and young people, families and step-families that our services have a huge and positive impact on their wellbeing and the increasing demand for our services shows that our work is much needed and valued by local families. In response to need, we are now increasing our pro-active fundraising activity so we can fully meet the needs of local families, both now and in the future, and to ensure that we can continually develop and innovate to achieve our vision:

'to help create stronger communities where all families experiencing separation or divorce are supported to be able to positively manage change, maintain healthy relationships and put the needs of children first.'

If the wellbeing of families is important to you or perhaps you have benefited from our services in the past, and you would like to offer your support, there are a number of ways you can help our work.

Voluntary and community support comes in all shapes and sizes from donations to volunteering, from fundraising events to corporate sponsorship and from gifts in-kind to grants.
